Dates are natural sweeteners that are healthy and delicious. You can make low fat halwa (til gur halwa recipe) using dates. You will need pitted dates, ghee, nuts, cardamom powder, saffron strands and milk. Blend soaked dates to make a smooth paste and cook it in ghee until it thickens. Add chopped nuts, cardamom powder and saffron strands to thickened paste and mix them well. Further, add milk to make the texture creamy. Garnish it with nuts and serve it hot.
