Halwa is a popular Indian traditional dessert that is most often made in Indian households during auspicious occasions. Follow the steps to make Til Gur Halwa at home:
Step 1: Start by soaking almonds in warm water to remove the peels.
Step 2: After removing the peels, blend the almonds in a mixer to make a thick paste.
Step 3: Now take a pan and put it on a medium flame.
Step 4: Dry roast the sesame seeds and transfer them to a plate.
Step 5: Now heat the same pan and add ghee to it.
Step 6: Once the ghee starts melting, add the almond paste and keep stirring.
Step 7: Now add the sesame seeds, cardamom powder, and saffron strands and keep cooking.
Step 8: Meanwhile take another pan and make a jaggery syrup with water and pour the same over the halwa.
Step 9: Cook all the ingredients together for a while.
Step 10: Once the halwa turns thick, turn off the heat garnish with dry fruits and enjoy.
