Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Of Rice Flour
  • 3 Ripe Bananas
  • ½ Cup Of Jaggery
  • Oil To Deep Fry
  • Salt To Taste

Koat Pitha Recipe:

  • Step One: Start by taking a bowl and adding two cups of rice flour to it.
  • Step Two: Next add half a cup of jaggery and salt according to your taste to the rice flour.
  • Step Three: In a separate bowl take three small to medium-sized ripe bananas. Mash the bananas into a paste-like consistency. You can use a fork to mash.
  • Step Four: Next add the mashed bananas to the flour and jaggery mixture.
  • Step Five: Now mix everything together either with a spatula or you can use your hands for better access.
  • Step Six: Knead the mixture till it forms a wet, dough-like consistency.
  • Step Seven: Form small balls from the dough and set them aside.
  • Step Eight: Take a frying pan and put it on high heat. Add enough oil to the pan to deep fry the Koat Pithas.
  • Step Nine: Wait for the oil to heat up and add the Koat Pithas into the hot oil. Deep fry each piece thoroughly till all sides are golden brown and crispy.
  • Step Ten: Put tissue paper on the plate before putting the Koat Pithas, so the excess oil gets soaked by the tissue paper. The delicious and sweet Koat Pithas are ready to be served!
