Melt 2-3 tbsps Dalda Vanaspati in a heated nonstick pan. Add the puree of ripe bananas and cook on medium heat till the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan and turns brown. Take some green cardamom powder and the remaining Dalda Vanaspati and cook on high heat for 3-4 more minutes. In another pan, add jaggery, palm jaggery and one cup water, and mix well and cook till the jaggery dissolves. Add the jaggery syrup to the cooked banana puree and mix well. Let it cook on medium heat till the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan. Add the halved and fried cashew nuts and mix well. Serve it while hot and garnish with Dalda Vanaspati and fried cashews.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups banana puree
  • 1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 4-6 tbsps Dalda Vanaspati and some more for greasing
  • 1 cup grated jaggery
  • 3/4 cup grated palm jaggery
  • 5-6 cashew nuts - halved and fried and some for garnish

  • Step 1 :

    Cook banana puree in Dalda Vanaspati in a heated non-stick pan till it turns brown.

  • Step 2 :

    Add green cardamom powder, mix well, and cook for a little more.

  • Step 3 :

    Prepare a mix of jaggery, palm jaggery and one cup of water in another pan and cook till you get a smooth mixture.

  • Step 4 :

    Add this mixture to the cooked puree and cook on medium heat till the mixture thickens.

  • Step 5 :

    Add fried cashew nuts and mix well.

  • Step 6 :

    Serve it, garnish it with fried cashews, Dalda Vanaspati and some love. Enjoy a treat of warmth and love!
