Ingredients

  • 100g grated coconut
  • 225g khoya
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 75g flour
  • 3 cups of water
  • 20g ghee
  • A pinch sodium bicarbonate

Step

  • Step 1 :

    In a pan, add sugar and water and let it boil till you get one string consistency.

  • Step 2 :

    Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan over medium flame. Add coconut, khoya, and 2 tbsp sugar in it and saute for a few minutes.

  • Step 3 :

    Once done, remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool.

  • Step 4 :

    Divide the mixture into equal portions, roll them into palms and flatten them between your palms.

  • Step 5 :

    Take a separate bowl, add maida, sodium bicarbonate and water in it. Mix well.

  • Step 6 :

    Heat ghee in a skillet. Dip coconut cakes in the maida batter and fry them until golden brown before adding them in sugar syrup.

  • Step 7 :

    Transfer them onto a serving plate and enjoy!
