Gokul Pithe is an exotic dessert from the state of West Bengal. These dumplings are filled with an aromatic mixture of coconut and sugar, and then soaked in hot sugar syrup.

This sweet delight is filled with grated coconut and sugar.
In a pan, add sugar and water and let it boil till you get one string consistency.
Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan over medium flame. Add coconut, khoya, and 2 tbsp sugar in it and saute for a few minutes.
Once done, remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool.
Divide the mixture into equal portions, roll them into palms and flatten them between your palms.
Take a separate bowl, add maida, sodium bicarbonate and water in it. Mix well.
Heat ghee in a skillet. Dip coconut cakes in the maida batter and fry them until golden brown before adding them in sugar syrup.
Transfer them onto a serving plate and enjoy!
