Ingredients

  • 1 cup maida
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 large onions
  • bread crumbs

Step

  • Step 1 :

    To prepare this mouth-watering recipe, start with mixing maida along with salt, baking powder, garlic powder, oregano and black pepper in a bowl.

  • Step 2 :

    Add milk, olive oil and a half cup of water in it. Mix it well until batter gets smooth.

  • Step 3 :

    Separate the onion slices into rings, and leave them for 15 minutes.

  • Step 4 :

    Dip the onion slices into the maida batter until they are all coated and set aside.

  • Step 5 :

    Whisk the egg, salt and black pepper powder in a separate bowl. Dip the floured rings into the batter to coat, then place on a tray and spread some bread crumbs on it to make them crispier.

  • Step 6 :

    Deep fry these coated rings for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame. Remove them on a paper napkin when they are golden brown.

  • Step 7 :

    Once all the onions are fried, serve them hot with tomato ketchup or your choice of sauce.
