Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri Hint At 'Bad Newz' with Ammy Virk: Details Inside

Vicky Kaushal sent the internet into a frenzy on Monday with a cryptic social media post teasing a new project alongside Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Now, filmmaker Karan Johar, whose production house Dharma Productions is backing the film, has officially lifted the veil on the project's title and release date. Under the direction of Anand Tiwari, the comedy ‘Bad Newz’ also features Neha Dhupia in the cast. Filming concluded in July 2023, with Neha sharing a celebratory glimpse from the wrap party on social media.

‘Bad Newz’ Set to Hit Theaters on 19 July 2024

Taking to his Instagram handle, Johar announced the film's title as ‘Bad Newz’ and shared a series of eye-catching posters. The caption reads, "Get ready for the most entertaining hungama – a hilarious once in a billion situation awaits…a comedy inspired by true events!! #BadNewz IN CINEMAS 19th July 2024!"

Last year, the internet buzzed with leaked photos of Kaushal and Dimri shooting together in Croatia. The images depicted a budding romance, with Kaushal holding Dimri close during a song sequence. One photo even showed the actor playfully lifting her in his arms. This upcoming entertainer is being directed by Anand Tiwari, known for his acclaimed work on the musical series ‘Bandish Bandits.’

The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor alongside Dimri, garnered widespread praise for their on-screen chemistry. Vicky Kaushal's most recent release was the biographical war drama ‘Sam Bahadur.’ In addition to ‘Bad Newz,’ Kaushal is gearing up for another historical project titled ‘Chhava.’ This period drama reportedly features Kaushal sharing the screen with Rashmika Mandanna. The film is expected to explore the bravery, sacrifice, and wartime strategies of the Maratha warrior Sambhaji Maharaj, while also weaving in a captivating love story between him and his wife.
