Aanand L. Rai is teaming up with Dhanush again after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re for Tere Ishk Mein. Kriti Sanon, who was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Crew, and Do Patti in 2024, will be seen as the female lead. The team released a few teasers recently to launch the film and the lead characters while announcing the release date as November 28, 2025.
Tere Ishk Mein: What Do The Teasers Show?
Aanand L. Rai shared two teasers, specifically character motion posters, on social media recently, one of Shankar (Dhanush's character) and another of Mukti (Sanon). Both the teasers were intense and implied that Tere Ishk Mein would be about a violent, most probably one-sided love story, and serve as a sequel to Raanjhanaa.

In Raanjhanaa, Dhanush's character Kundan is in love with Sonam Kapoor's Zoya but she doesn't reciprocate all along. His desperation to get her attention drives the entire film and even though it was well-received, the 2013 movie was accused of glorifying stalking.
Now, interestingly, Dhanush's character motion poster for the upcoming film has huge Raanjhanaa callbacks where his voice says that last time Kundan could not get Zoya in the end despite trying hard. But, this time, no force will be able to stop Shankar from making Mukti his partner. The teaser ends with Raanjhanaa's theme music in the backdrop, establishing the sequel update.

Meanwhile, Sanon's Mukti is pretty different from Zoya as she stands her ground and has her priorities set. Her teaser is equally passionate where she sets herself afire while implying that Tere Ishk Mein will deal with a lopsided relationship between Mukti and Shankar.
So given this, it needs to be seen how different Rai and his team treat Tere Ishk Mein than Raanjhanaa without courting controversy.

Tere Ishk Mein: Filming Details, Crew, And Other Details
In a recent interaction, Sanon hinted that Tere Ishk Mein would be primarily shot in Delhi for which she would hit the national capital in 15-20 days. Raanjhanaa was also filmed in Delhi, alongside Punjab and Chennai.
Tere Ishk Mein is Aanand L. Rai's 9th directorial and has AR Rahman as the music composer. This film is the Golden Globes winner's third Hindi venture in 2025 after Chhaava and Lahore 1947.
Tere Ishk Mein, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 28, 2025.
