Vrushabha: Shanaya Kapoor Secures Pan India Debut Alongside Legend Mohanlal

Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is about to make her highly anticipated and widely discussed debut in a film. Vrushabha, a Telugu-Malayalam movie, will showcase Shanaya alongside actor Mohanlal in the lead role. In addition to that, the film will also feature Zahrah S Khan, daughter of Salma Agha, and Roshann Meka. The announcement of Shanaya Kapoor's debut was made by Ekta Kapoor on her social media platform.

She took to her Instagram and uploaded a picture of Shanaya along with Mohanlal and wrote, “ShanayaKapoor is all set to make her PAN INDIA debut in Legendary Star #Mohanlal’s epic action entertainer #VRUSHABHA. Get ready for an epic saga filled with drama, action, and a whole lot of glamour! With her talent and beauty, Shanaya is sure to steal the show as she plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between past and present timelines starring opposite #RoshanMeka.”

Shanaya Kapoor’s Debut

Initially, it was announced that Shanaya Kapoor would mark her acting debut through Karan Johar's film ‘Bedhadak,’ where she would portray the character of Nimrit. However, there has been a change of plans as Shanaya will now bring charm and liveliness to the impactful narrative of ‘Vrushabha.’ As per the press release, Shanaya will play a significant role that connects the past and present timelines, adding depth to this remarkable action-packed entertainer.

According to Indian Express, Shanaya said in a statement, “I am highly excited to face the camera and begin shooting, there will be so much to learn and explore from this film. The storyline is a fascinating one which has stayed with me. Also, the film has all the big names associated with it and is being made on a massive scale, it’s the kind of role any young actor would be excited and inspired to play. Especially so early in one’s career.”

Meanwhile, the director of the movie, Nanda Kishore said, "Both, Shanaya and Zahrah are the perfect fit for their respective characters in terms of looks and skills. They are very talented and hardworking young actors and for me, as a director, I want to bring the best out of them. Our collaboration as actors and director is something I am eager to experience.”

Under the direction of Nanda Kishore, the highly anticipated epic action entertainer, ‘Vrushabha,’ is scheduled to commence shooting in July, 2023. This multilingual film, set to release in Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi as well, is a collaborative production between AVS Studios, First Step Movies, and Balaji Telefilms (Ekta Kapoor Productions.)

In the film ‘Vrushabha,’ Roshann Meka will join Shanaya Kapoor and Zahrah S Khan as the lead hero. Rather than a conventional love triangle, the movie features two distinct love stories set in different time periods. According to reports, Zahrah, portraying a warrior princess, will encounter Roshann Meka in the past. The actor is also slated to film significant action sequences as part of the movie.
