The 80th Golden Globes Awards which celebrate some of the best movies and TV shows of the year are happening in Los Angeles this year. S.S. Rajamouli's blockbuster, the pan-Indian movie RRR’s hit song Naatu Naatu by Kala Bhairava, M. M. Keeravani, and Rahul Sipligunj won the Best Original Song at the 80th Golden Globe Awards.

Naatu Naatu was in competition with Carolin' from Where the Crawdads Sing, Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, and Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

SS Rajamouli's blockbuster was nominated in two categories Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song. They won Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu, one of the two categories it was nominated in. In the Non-English Language Film Category Argentina, 1985 won the award.

Music composer M. M. Keeravani accepted the award accompanied by his wife, Srivalli. He also dedicated the award to Ram Charan, NTR Jr., and director Rajamouli.

Other major big winners from the award show include Colin Farrell, who was named best actor in a musical or comedy for his performance in The Banshees of Inisherin. Michelle Yeoh was named best actress in a musical or comedy for Everything Everywhere All at Once. Ke Huy Quan for Everything Everywhere All at Once was named best-supporting actor and Angela Bassett won best supporting actress for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Best Non-English Language Film was won by Argentina, 1985.
