Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, is set to bring his signature charm again to the big screen in a new way, this time accompanied by his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan. The trio will lend their voices to key characters in Disney's much-anticipated movie, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, in its Hindi version. With the trailer now out, fans are eagerly awaiting the release, excited to hear the Khan family's voiceover magic in one of Disney’s most beloved franchises.
‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ is directed by Barry Jenkins, and explores the unexpected journey of Mufasa, an orphaned cub who rises to become the beloved king of the Pride Lands. It also introduces Taka, a lion with royal heritage, and follows their epic adventure with a diverse group of unique characters. The movie produced by Walt Disney Pictures in collaboration with Pastel Productions, is a photorealistic animated feature that serves as both a prequel and a sequel to the 2019 remake of the 1994 classic Disney movie The Lion King.
Shah Rukh Khan will lend his voice to Mufasa in the Hindi version of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. His sons, Aryan and AbRam, will provide the voices for Simba and young Mufasa, respectively.
In the English version, Aaron Pierre voices Mufasa, Donald Glover voices Simba, and Braelyn Rankins voices young Mufasa.
According to Disney Movies, the plot of “ ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.”

The trailer of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ starts with Rafiki telling Kiara, “It’s time to tell you a story, a cub’s story.” Then one day the young Taka finds the lost Mufasa and fights to have him included in the clan. The following scenes highlight the strong bond between Mufasa and Taka, with Taka sharing his wish of always wanting a brother. As the story progresses, the head of the clan instructs Mufasa and Taka to find their own paths in life.

‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ is all set to release on December 20, 2024. Given Shah Rukh Khan’s massive fan base and the curiosity surrounding Aryan and AbRam's performances, Disney’s ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ is set to be a blockbuster among the Indian audience.
