“Leo 2 Will Be Created” Confirms Director; Here Is Why The Movie Deserves A Sequel

2023 witnessed one of the biggest films of India called ‘Leo’. This movie has been directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and stars one of the biggest actors in South India, Vijay, fondly known as Thalapathy. The Tamil movie marked its release on the silver screen on the 18th of October 2023 and became a super hit.

Following the massive success of the first instalment of ‘Leo’, the fans of the movie and actor Vijay have been going gaga over the film. They had been in anticipation of whether or not there would be a second part of the blockbuster flick.

The director of the 2023 movie ‘Leo’, Lokesh Kanagaraj, announced that there will be a second instalment of the movie. He is currently working on his upcoming movie ‘Thalaivar 171’ which will be starring the South Indian film actor Rajinikanth. Even though no official date for the movie has been given, Kanagaraj has mentioned that he will start writing ‘Leo 2’ after getting done with the Rajnikanth starrer.

In 2023, the Tamil film ‘Leo’ was released in the theatres on the 18th of October 2023. The movie was released in languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The movie turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office. The movie starred Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Madonna Sebastian, Surya, and Priya Anand, among others.

‘Leo’, despite being a regional film, bagged a whopping amount of over Rs 600 crore. The movie’s director, Lokesh Kanagaraj, has written a story that revolves around historical incidents.

A cafe owner called Parthiban lives in Theog, Himachal Pradesh, with his wife Satya and their two children. One fine night a few contract killers enter their town. When they aim to attack Parthiban’s cafe, and family, he shoots all of them. This leads to a court case against him. However, he soon gets released as it was an incident of self-defence.

Post his release, he becomes the hero of his town. However, the partners of the goons whom he had shot, start looking for him for vengeance.
