It all started on May 23, 2023 when the American publication ‘Variety Magazine’ tweeted a rather brief yet critical review of the first two episodes of HBO’s upcoming show ‘The Idol’ which is slated to release on June 4, 2023. The series features the Canadian pop-star The Weeknd a.k.a. Abel Tesfaye and Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily Rose Depp. Apart from this it also features BLACKPINK’s Jennie Ruby Jane because of which the upcoming production which follows the story of an upcoming singer’s journey of navigating the treacherous music industry has been largely anticipated by Korean pop fans.
