Kangana Ranaut To Make History: First Woman To Set Raavan Ablaze At Delhi’s Red Fort On Dussehra

Dussehra 2023 is special for Kangana Ranaut as she becomes the first woman to set Ravan ablaze on Dussehra at Delhi’s Red Fort. This is the first time in the history of 50 years of the event when a woman will do the Ravan Dahan.

Kangana Shares The News On Instagram

Kangana took her Instagram to share this news with her fans. She has shared a video message stating that she will be gracing the Red Fort Ramlila event and will set Ravan ablaze on 24 October 2023. She has shared about her new movie ‘Tejas’ which is going to be released on 27th October 2023.

Here’s what Kangana said “Namaste dosto. 24 October ko main lal kila staphit Ramleela mein hissa lene aa rahi hun. Raavan dahan karne. Burai pe achai ki jeet sthaphit karne. To iss Ram Leela mein hissa le aur milte hai 24 October ko. Saath hi meri aane wali film Tejas jo ki 27 October ko isi hafte release ho rahi hai, usse dekhna na bhoole. Ye film Bharat vayu sena par adharit hai. Jald milte hai. Jai Shree Ram.

Breaking Stereotypes

Lav Kush Committee which organises the event every year at Red Fort said that every year some or other VIP graces the event. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to South Indian actor Prabhas, bollywood actors Ajay Devgan and John Abraham have done the Ravan Dahan ceremonies in past years. It is a huge festive event that attracts thousands of people around the country. ‘We want equal rights for women’, said the committee. To set an example of women empowerment we have chosen Kangana Ranaut to fire the effigy of Ravan, they added.

Kangana Promoting Her Film

Kangana Ranaut is spotted promoting her film ‘Tejas’ which is soon going to be in theatres on 27th October 2023. This movie is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara and features her in the role of an Indian Air Force pilot.

Kangana On The Flight

Kangana met National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on her flight to New Delhi and posted the selfie with a caption that says, “In this week of #Tejas release, I got a chance to meet the inspiration for all soldiers ever our national security chief Ajit Doval ji I consider this a good omen, Jai Hind.”
