Dune 2 To Re-release In India

Almost a year after its original release, ‘Dune: Part Two’ is making a comeback in Indian theatres starting March 14, 2025. Warner Bros. India shared the exciting news on Monday, and fans are already buzzing with excitement to relive the epic sequel on the big screen.

The film, starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, continues the story from ‘Dune: Part One’, directed by Denis Villeneuve. This re-release comes just after the movie’s big win at the 97th Academy Awards, where it took home two Oscars for Best Sound and Best Visual Effects on March 3, 2025.

Dune 2 To Re-release Date In India

Warner Bros India announced the re-release on social media, saying, “Back in Cinemas, Bigger Than Ever. Relive the war for Arrakis in ‘Dune: Part Two’. Releasing in cinemas on March 14. Also in IMAX. Limited Run - 7 days only.” Fans can catch the film in both regular theatres and IMAX during this special week-long run.

Dune 2 Storyline

Set on the breathtaking desert planet of Arrakis, ‘Dune: Part Two’ follows Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) as he sets out to avenge his father’s death. The story picks up where the first film left off, with Paul teaming up with the Fremen to fight against the cruel House Harkonnen.

Many familiar faces from the first movie return, including Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem. This time, they’re joined by new stars like Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux, who add even more depth to the story.

The film’s script, written by Denis Villeneuve and Jon Spaihts, brings Frank Herbert’s classic novel to life with stunning visuals and a gripping story. The breathtaking cinematography by Greig Fraser, combined with Hans Zimmer’s powerful music, makes ‘Dune: Part Two’ a truly unforgettable experience.
