One of the best eras of Bollywood movies was the era where comic films ruled the industry. With almost every comedy film casting a group of comic actors including Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Rajpal Yadav, Bollywood has given us greater reasons to laugh. These movies had the most perfectly written comical dialogues and their delivery was perfect.
Here are a few funny Bollywood movie dialogues that most of us are still struggling to get over.
‘Phir Hera Pheri’
“Inke haath main sone ka lota diya phir bhi ye bhikh hi mangenge.” ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ is a movie that you can forever count on to make you ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing). This dialogue from the movie just like every other helps you explore the comical significance of Baburao’s character; a man who owns a pool but uses a mug to fetch water from it and pour it on himself.
‘Chup Chup Ke’
"Iska photo khinch kar isko dikha ke isspe puch lete hainy ye kaun hai, tab toh ye batayegaa na ye kaun hai'' Rajpal Yadav established himself as the king of comedy with this epic film and its hilarious dialogues. This dialogue is one of the funniest in the film, and similarly, every other dialogue is enough to make your day better.

‘3 Idiots’
“Dost fail ho jaye toh dukh hota hai … Lekin dost first aa jaye toh zyada dukh hota hai” This dialogue made us realise about human psychology that a failing friend is better than a topping one. The scriptwriter penned down this dialogue with an extremely realistic angle that everyone in a school or college can relate to.
‘Om Shanti Om’
“You shot gun, me quick gun Murugun … Ati-pati-kati yenna rascala tu dai … Mind It!” One of the most talked about comic scenes even today, ‘Om Shanti Om’ gave us this comedy gold. Shah Rukh Khan pretends to be shooting for a South Indian film. His made-up dialogues and the audience’s commentary make it immensely funny.

‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’
“Kya tum mantally challenged ho my bwoy?” A movie that took us back to our childhood days and left us yearning for our friends was ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. This dialogue hits us with a wave of nostalgia (How Nostalgia Affects Your Brain) as they reminisce about a teacher who used to say this to them as a student in “iskool” in his broken English.
