Alpha Release Date Announced: Alia Bhatt And Sharvari’s Spy Film Gets Official Premiere Date This July

Yash Raj Films' spy thriller 'Alpha' starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles will premiere in theaters worldwide in July 2026. The much-awaited project from the YRF Spy Universe, directed by Shiv Rawail, marks a historic shift as it is the franchise's first female-led action thriller.

After multiple delays in post-production, to make the film a memorable watch, the makers have finally revealed the first poster with the release date.

Alpha Release Date

After multiple delays, the film 'Alpha' is scheduled to release on July 10, 2026, as Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and other cast members uploaded the first poster on their official Instagram handles.

Alpha: First Female-led YRF Spy Film

The film 'Alpha' is the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe, as it features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead. It shifts the entire focus to female agents, eradicating the male-centric narratives, showcasing high-octane action roles.

Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Aditya Chopra (Yash Raj Films), the cast of Alpha includes:

Anil Kapoor: Key role

Hrithik Roshan: Special appearance as Kabir

Why Was Alpha Postponed?

The YRF film 'Alpha' was postponed earlier from its original date, December 25, 2025, to April 17, 2026, due to the addition of extensive visual effects (VFX) work. The makers earlier mentioned, "The VFX of Alpha needed more time to present the movie in its visually best shape to the audience."

Presently, the date has been confirmed to be July 10, 2026.
