The news of Ajith and Neel’s collaboration has left fans super excited. It is also worth mentioning that there was an initial discussion regarding the films last January. However, Prashanth Neel still has work left to wrap up for ‘Salaar 2’ with Prabhas. The shooting of the sequel will commence in August. Reports suggest that even though Neel has completed filming minor portions of ‘Salaar 2’, during the filming of the prequel, the major shooting of the movie will commence soon. It might take another 6 months for the director to complete the work for the sequel.

More Details On Ajith-Neel Collaboration

Ajith and Neel’s upcoming two movies will be produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Homable Films. The work for two consecutive films will begin right after the completion of Salaar 2. However, it is unknown whether it could be AK 64 and AK 65 or 65 or 66. According to DT Next sources, “Ajith and Prashanth had a meeting during VidaaMuyarchi schedule break last month. Prashanth has asked over three years of Ajith’s time. Their first collaboration, which could be AK 64, will be a standalone project. This will go on floors in 2025 and release in 2026.”

The second collaboration of the duo will be a project where Prashanth Neel is planning to build his own cinematic universe. “The climax of the second film will lead to KGF 3 and Ajith’s character is touted to be the biggest of them all in Prashanth Neel Cinematic Universe,” added DT Next source. This could also mean that Yash and Ajith will share screen space in the climax of the film. The official announcement of this project is expected to be made next year.
