On his birthday, the makers officially announced that the superstar is teaming up with director Atlee for their highly anticipated film, AA22 x A6. The makers released a special video, offering fans a glimpse into the ambitious plans for the project.

The announcement video features VFX supervisor James Madigan, an Emmy Award winner known for his exceptional work on blockbusters like ‘Iron Man 2’ and ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.’ Madigan expresses his excitement about the project, saying, "I just read the script and I've got to say, my head is still spinning." He added, "The script is seriously unlike anything I’ve ever read. It is the best of the best of what I would ever want to create," hinting at the film's groundbreaking concept.

Allu Arjun's Last Hit Sets High Expectations for AA22 x A6

This announcement follows the tremendous success of Allu Arjun's last venture. ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ emerged as 2024's biggest hit, grossing an estimated ₹1738 crore worldwide, with ₹1469.95 crore from India and ₹271 crore from overseas, according to Sacnilk.

For director Atlee, this new project with Allu Arjun comes at an important time. His recent venture as a producer, ‘Baby John’, didn't meet expectations. The film, starring Varun Dhawan and directed by Kalees, was an adaptation of Atlee's successful Tamil movie ‘Theri’. Despite high hopes, the December 2024 release struggled to connect with audiences, earning ₹47 crore against its hefty ₹160 crore budget. Now, teaming up with Allu Arjun gives Atlee a chance to bounce back with something fresh and exciting.
