Who Is Shakti Dubey?
Shakti Dubey was born and raised in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and she has secured the All India Rank 1 for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. She completed her graduation with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Allahabad University. After completing her graduation, she went ahead to finish her postgraduate studies in Master of Science in Biochemistry at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
After completing her postgraduate studies, Shakti briefly worked as a teacher, though specific details about her teaching assignments are not publicly available. In 2018, following the completion of her M.Sc., she made the significant decision to start preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE). She chose political science and international relations as her optional subjects. From her schooling to graduation, post-graduation, and now finally cracking the UPSC CSE AIR 1, Shakti Dubey has given seven years of hard work and dedication to finally get to this achievement.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is conducted in three stages: Preliminary, Mains, and the Personality Test. The preliminary exam was held on June 16, 2024. This was followed by the Mains exam, which took place from September 20 to September 29, 2024. The personality test phase occurred from January 7 to April 17, 2025.
