The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination is considered one of the toughest and most challenging competitive examinations in India. It is conducted annually to recruit candidates for various administrative and civil services in India. Despite the difficulty level and cutthroat competition, lakhs of aspirants apply for the examination every year. But, only a few get selected and secure top civil services positions. It took several attempts to pass the examination, but IAS Chandrajyoti Singh cleared this examination in the first attempt and became one of the youngest IAS officers in India at the age of 22 years. IAS Chandrajyoti Singh Education

IAS officer Chandrajyoti Singh was always an extraordinary student. She completed her schooling at Jalandhar’s APJ School. She scored 10 CGPA in high school and further went to Bhavan Vidyalaya in Chandigarh for her higher secondary. Post-schooling, she earned a dual graduate degree in History and Political Science from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University.

IAS Chandrajyoti Singh UPSC Journey

Chandrajyoti belongs to a family of government officers. Her father Dalbara Singh is a retired Colonel and her mother Lt Col Meena Singh is a retired army radiologist. She was inspired by her parents and wanted to serve the nation. After graduation, she started preparing for the UPSC examination. She used to study 6-8 hours every day. Her hard work paid off when she passed the examination on her very first attempt. She secured an AIR of 28 in the 2019 UPSC exam. She took mock tests while preparing for the examination. Chandrajyoti Singh’s dedication stands as an inspiration for many UPSC aspirants and even other competitive examination aspirants. She proved that if you are determined to achieve your goals, nothing is impossible.

She did her training from August 2020 to October 2022 in Mussoorie. She was posted in the Ministry of External Affairs as Assistant Secretary. Later, in October 2022, she joined the Government of Punjab as a Sub-divisional Magistrate in Sultanpur Lodhi.
