As the world is facing threat from the pandemic of coronavirus, people are forced to stay at home for safety, working from home has become our last resort. Most of us do not have apt working places at our houses, therefore we end up functioning from our bed. While the whole idea of working while donning our favourite pajamas seems tempting, in the long run, this can actually affect your productivity and health. There need to be strict boundaries while working from home. Try not to leave your daily routine, including timely meals, walking, taking breaks, etc behind. If you are planning to execute your job from the bed tomorrow too, here is how it will be affecting your wellbeing.
Hampers Brain Health
After working for 8-9 hours, you want your brain to feel relaxed by it being able to associate with your bed. The last thing you want your brain is to not being able to differentiate between work and rest. As per media reports, experts stress upon having a separate work and resting place because, mental shift helps you to get into a work mode, during which you feel a sense of routine. Such activity helps to boost productivity. But if you keep on doing everything from your bed, by erasing work and leisure boundaries, things might become boring and painful for you.
Bad For Back
Sitting on your bed with a pillow supporting the back may feel comfier in comparison to that office chair, but wait for a few days and you will start hating this routine in no time. Curving over your laptop while sitting on the bed can bring on severe back pain. Continue this for a while and you will end up hampering your sleep. If you have a small apartment and do not have any other place to work, even the staircase, try separating work cushions from the sleeping pillows. Add a small table or a simple carton box to create a work environment.
It’s Unhealthy
During the coronavirus pandemic, the last thing you want is to remain unhygienic. As per the media reports, while we sleep at night, we shed around 15 million skin cells, making the sheets dirty with various types of bacteria. And a study from Amerisleep states that working from bed can make the scenario worst.

Reduces Productivity

Eventually, you will become less productive and more likely to doze off during the day.
