Apurva Purohit, group President of Jagran Prakashan Ltd who also happens to be the author of the national bestselling book 'Lady, You’re not a Man – the Adventures of a Woman at Work', published in 2013, shares how our Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) can drive men crazy by attributing it to our mood swings and more.

One of the great advantages of being a woman is the fun we can have in running circles around men. By being enigmatic and mysterious and difficult to understand, we can drive the poor souls mad!

And the most powerful weapon we have in our arsenal is the PMS. You can attribute bad moods, temper tantrums, weepy spells, bitchy comments and many such interesting behaviours to a contritely whispered, “I have got PMS, what to do ?”

So, PMS has been used very effectively to whitewash a lot of not so nice things we do (or don’t wont to do) for many years now. And why not? Haven’t we all heard snide comments sometime or the other, on how we needlessly shouted at that poor executive, who by the way hadn’t done his targets, – just because we had PMS? If people expect us to behave in a certain way, let's live up to their expectations!

I have come across several interesting definitions of PMS. Do share yours.
