India is in the midst of a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and the only ray of hope is the vaccine. In India, 3 vaccines have been approved for usage, including Covishielf, Covaxin, and Sputnik V. These vaccines consist of two doses.
This is the third phase of the vaccine drive and everyone here above the age of 18 is eligible to get vaccinated against the deadly disease. This decision was taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after there was a sudden spike in the number of fresh COVID cases.
We are sure many of you have questions related to the third phase of the vaccine. So, here we have listed down everything for you, right from what all you would require to register to how to book an appointment quickly. Read on.
The third phase is scheduled to begin from 1st May as announced by the government.
All citizens above the age of 18 years can register online through CoWIN app, Aarogya Setu, and Umang app. The registrations open today, 28th April at 4 pm.
You will be needing a photo ID which would be uploaded at the time you get yourself registered. You can upload any of the above-mentioned photo ID documents.
To register yourself online, you will need to use your mobile number. 4 people can register using one mobile number but each person will need to upload their own photo identification document.
After uploading the identification document, you can schedule your vaccination appointment at any centre of your choice from 1st May.
Open the app and click on the CoWIN tab on the home screen. Click on vaccination registration and then enter your mobile number. You will get an OTP number on your phone. Enter that number and verify.
You will be directed to the registration page. Follow all the steps.
To register on the Umang app, download the app from the play store. On the homepage, go to the CoWIN tab. Click on register for vaccination. Enter your mobile number and submit. Enter the OTP number you receive on the mobile number and follow all the steps.

Visit the CoWIN portal (cowin.gov.in). Enter your mobile number or aadhaar card number. Enter the OTP number and register. Schedule the date and time and get your vaccination done on the date of appointment.
On the day of your appointment at the vaccination centre, reach on time. Make sure you carry the appointment slip/registration screenshot on your phone and photo ID (the one you used at the time of booking the appointment).

After getting your vaccination doses, you will get a reference ID with which you can get your vaccination certificate.
