London Based Woman Safiyya Riyadh Makes Jewellery Out Of Breast Milk
Safiyya and Adam Riyadh own an award-winning company, Magenta Flowers which makes jewellery out of breast milk and also preserves special occasion flowers by turning them into keepsakes. The couple started their operations in the year 2019. In these years, the company managed to complete over 4000 orders.

However, after Magenta Flowers stepped into the world of breast milk jewellery, things changed. In the year 2023, Safiyya and Adam Riyadh are expecting a turnover of INR 15 Crores as per a report by Daily Star.
New Mothers And Their Desire To Preserve Their Breastfeeding Journey
Safiyya Riyadh is a mother of three and understood the desire of mothers to preserve their breastfeeding journey. In an interview with Daily Star, Safiyaa Riyadh said, “I feel there is so much stigma around breast milk and in some cases breastfeeding in public that for me, it is almost like a hidden gem." She added, "It provides a sentimental connection between mothers and their babies and celebrates that cherished bond."

R&D Behind Making Breast Milk Jewellery
A lot of research and development went into figuring out a formula which can help preserve breastmilk. Especially to find something to ensure that the breast milk retains its colour. Safiyaa then found a process of dehydrating the liquid and then combining it with a high quality non-yellowing resin which ensured that the jewellery stayed clear for years.
She further shared that a lot of her customers are often sad that their breastfeeding journey is over and the jewellery helped them celebrate it. She said, “Our jewellery is about preserving those first memories, whether your baby is bottle-fed or breastfed."
Not just breast milk, new mothers today also get the umbilical cord preserved in the form of jewellery as a memory. Many feel that it is a great souvenir to keep for lifetime.
