Festive season has already begun, which means that we get a chance to wear all our favourite ethnic clothes. With so many festivals, you must be confused about what to wear and how to wear them.
Lehenga is quite a popular garment during the festive season, but people usually end up looking the same. If you want a new and different look, then try these different dupatta draping styles.
Over The Hands
This is a simple yet elegant way to drape your dupatta. Just take your dupatta and wrap it around both your arms from the back. Let the ends loose. This drape works best with an Indo-western look but can go with any kind of lehenga. However, avoid it if you are going for a plain lehenga with a heavy dupatta because then the dupatta will be the star of the show.
Saree Style
If you want to give your lehenga a saree twist, then you can do it by just draping your dupatta like a saree. Tuck it in your lehenga on the left side and wrap it around your body to bring it to the front. Now, pleat the dupatta and put it over your left shoulder. Pin it to your shoulder and let the palla flow freely.
Gujarati Style Drape
This is again a draping style that will give the saree look. This is inspired by the Gujarati saree. Tuck the corner of the dupatta on your right side and put it over your left shoulder from the back. Either let the palla free flow or pin it up to your side.

Cape Style
If you want to give a trendy twist to your lehenga, then drape your dupatta as a cape. This might sound complicated but is very easy. You just have to put your dupatta over your shoulders and let it flow freely. Make sure to pin it on your shoulders so that it stays in place.
Add A Belt
This draping style will give your ethnic outfit a unique look. Pleat your dupatta and pin it on one of your shoulders. Then, add a belt on your waist and make sure to tuck the dupatta inside. This will give your lehenga a new and structured look.
