The National Film Awards bestow accolades and recognition to the best of the best in the Indian cinema business each year. These are people who have contributed towards the film making and representation of society in a way that it contributes to the welfare of the audiences. Film makers, actors, producers, technicians and more who contribute to the craft of cinema making are given due accreditation for their work by the Government of India.
A common thread that has been noticed on the sartorial front on majority of the National Film Awards ceremonies is the fact that all the leading ladies show up dressed to their nines in signature saree drapes. Take for example Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut’s appearances over the years or the recent sighting of Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon and even the yesteryear stalwart actor Waheeda Rehman. Each diva made an appearance dressed in the iconic Indian garment, ‘the saree drape’.
Let us now decode the style games of Priyanka Chopra, Kanga Ranaut, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon at the National Film Awards.
