CSBC Bihar Police Constable New Website

Candidates who took the Bihar Police Constable 2024 exam are encouraged to visit the new website to check their results. The examination was held on August 7, 11, 18, 21, 25, and 28 across 38 districts, utilising a pen-and-paper format. Before the results are announced, the CSBC will publish the provisional answer key and allow a period for candidates to raise objections. Step 1: Go to the new CSBC website at csbc.bihar.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the link for the Bihar Police Constable Result on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter your login details, including your application number and password.

Step 4: Your result will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Verify all the details and print a copy for future reference.

The selection process involves four stages. Candidates start with an online written examination, and those who qualify will then take a physical standard test and physical efficiency test. Finally, a document verification and medical examination will be conducted to finalise the eligible candidates for the positions offered.

Previously, the Bihar Police Constable exam was postponed due to a paper leak incident. It was initially scheduled for October 1, but a few candidates were allegedly caught cheating using electronic devices, prompting the postponement. Reports suggest that the question paper was leaked a day before the exam, resulting in several arrests on-site. The exam was intended to be held on October 1, 7, and 15 in two shifts but was ultimately cancelled.

What Is Central Selection Board of Constable?

The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) is an organisation under the Government of Bihar responsible for recruiting Group 'D' civil servants for the Bihar Police. It is led by a police officer at the rank of Additional Director General or Director General. The CSBC was established in 2008 by the Governor of Bihar through amendments to the Bihar Police Manual. This amendment formally created the board and granted it the authority to conduct both written and physical fitness examinations, as well as to compile merit lists based on the qualifications of applicants and the rules of reservation.
