According to a report by AQICN.org, sensitive groups including children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions are advised to stay indoors as much as possible. They must use air purifiers, and wear N95 masks if outdoor activity is unavoidable since the air quality of these places is reported to be poor. "PM2.5 can penetrate deep into the lungs and even enter the bloodstream, causing issues like asthma, lung disease, and heart attacks," the report explains.
