Kimchi
Kimchi is a staple food in Korean kitchens. The signature dish has been around for more than 2,000 years. You can make it by leaving Korean cabbage, radish, pumpkin, onion, ginger, and scallion with chilli powder, crushed garlic and salted seafood, to ferment. Available in more than 200 variations, this traditional dish can be served with almost every meal including rice, porridge, soups, and rice cakes. The popular Korean singer and actor Gongchan claims Kimchi (Kimchi Recipe) is his favourite dish, according to reports.
Jjajangmyeon
Jjajangmyeon (Jajangmyeon Recipe) is a popular Korean-Chinese fusion dish. You can easily make it with thick handmade wheat noodles, raw cucumber slices, and a mixture of salty black soybean paste, diced pork and vegetables. From being the comfort food for singles on Black Day in Korea to being a quick and cheap meal, Jjajangmyeon is known for the delightful combination of savoury, sweet, and salty flavours it has to offer.

Tteokbokki
The traditional Korean street food Tteokbokki (Tteokbokki Recipe) is made with chewy rice cakes (tteok), diced garlic, fish cake, salt, onions, sugar and assorted vegetables, stir-fried in sweet red chilli sauce. Even the actor Jo In Sung once revealed that he enjoys a meal of Tteokbokki on any day. It is featured in a number of K-Dramas where the leads are seen fancying this dish. You can easily find it at street vendors and independent snack bars in Korea.
