Maha Kumbh Mela is one of the most popular festivals that holds the utmost importance in Hindu mythology. It takes place once every 12 years and attracts lakhs of devotees across the world to witness this unique festival of faith, culture, and self-purification. 2025 is going to be one of the lucky years that will witness this Maha Kumbh Mela starting from 13 January 2025 till 26 February 2025. This year Maha Kumbh will be organised in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. The full-fledged preparation for this festival has been started by the UP government. UP Government's Preparations
According to the official portal of the Uttar Pradesh Government, it is estimated that approximately 43 crore pilgrims in Prayagraj. Authorities are monitoring the activities from Sangam to the Maha Kumbh and several safety measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of pilgrims. As a part of the process, Yogi Adityanath himself reviewed the preparation and assured that all the arrangements for the events would be finalised by December 10, 2024. As reported, PM Narendra Modi will also grace the festival and will perform Ganga Aarti and inaugurate development projects.
According to the UP Government, 20 advanced drones will be deployed to ensure 24/7 security at Maha Kumbh 2025. These drones will ensure surveillance, capture details of the activities taking place, and focus on every minor movement to ensure a safe environment for devotees.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 will boast an additional 800 hectares of land to accommodate 1.8 lakh tents. Additionally, there will be a special medical camp for police personnel and devotees ensuring proper health checkups and stress management.

You can take a train from your concerned city to Prayagraj district located in Uttar Pradesh. There are road transports also available to reach Prayagraj, however, it depends on the proximity of your city.
Flights are available at the Prayagraj Airport, so if you stay far away from the city, you can take a flight for easy travel.
