Cricket World Cup 2023: A Look At The Playing 11 Indian Cricket Squad & Their Partners

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has organised the cricket world cup 2023, which will be played amidst ten participating teams over a series of forty eight matches held between the inaugural match today, that is, Thursday October 5, 2023 and November 19, 2023 when the final match will be witnessed. 

All About The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup is the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The matches will be played on the ‘One Day International’ (ODI) format with teams from India, Pakistan, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia, Netherlands, Afghanistan and South Africa participating and vying for the big World Cup.

This World Cup 2023, the selected Indian cricket team consists of Rohit Sharma who is the captain, Hardik Pandya who holds the baton as the vice captain, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, R Ashwin, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav.

• The captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, has had his wife Ritika Sajdeh by his side since 2015 when the couple tied the knot. They now have a daughter, Samaira who is five years old.
