Shruthi Narayanan has finally responded to the controversy by making an official statement through her Instagram stories. The official statement read, "For you guys, spreading all these contents on me it's just a joke and fun content. But for me and my close ones this is a very hard situations for us. Especially for me it is a very difficult time and it's a difficult situation to handle it. I'm also a girl and I also have feeling and my close ones also have feeling and you guys just make it worse and worse. I humbly request you all to not spread everything like wild fire and if it in case go see the videos for your mother or sister or girlfriend because they are also girls and they also have the same bodies like me so go and enjoy their videos."
In another statement, she spoke out against how AI-generated deepfakes are destroying lives and the legal implications of sharing them. The statement read, " This is a human life, not your entertainment. I see many comments and post blaming the victim, but I want to ask men why? Why is the woman always the one being judged, while those who leak and watch such videos go unquestioned? The way people are reacting to it is disgusting. All women have the same body parts, just like your mother, grandmother, sister, or wife. This is not a big deal. This isn't just a video, it's someone's mental health, and life. Al-generated deepfakes are ruining lives, and if you're engaging with them, you are part of the problem. STOP sharing. STOP asking for links. START being human. Sharing leaked videos, whether real or deepfake, is a criminal offense in India. Here are the legal provisions under which action can be taken: 1. Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000 Section 66E - Violation of privacy (Punishment: Up to 3 years in jail or a fine of ₹2 lakh)
•Section 67- Publishing or transmitting obscene material
(Punishment: Up to 5 years in jail and a fine of ₹10 lakh)
•Section 67A - Publishing sexually explicit content
(Punishment: Up to 7 years in jail and a fine of ₹10 lakh)

•Section 354C - Voyeurism (Punishment: 3 to 7 years in jail)
•Section 509-Insulting a woman's modesty (Punishment: 3
years in jail)
