In the viral video, the 69-year-old singer is seen singing ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ and kissing female fans on the cheek as they approach him for the selfie. In another clip, a woman is seen taking a selfie and kissing him on the cheek, to which the singer responds with a kiss on her lips.

Netizens Troll Udit Narayan For His Shameless Act

This incident has sparked an outrage on the internet with fans criticising the singer for his shameless act. Some also called for a closer examination of the celebrity interaction in public events.

Netizens are now reacting to the recent controversy by expressing disgust and anger over the singer’s actions at the live concert. One user wrote, "Udit Narayan...no way. I hope this is AI.. if not.. the whole legacy is completely destroyed.." Another user stated, “A singer of his stature should be super conscious of his deeds in public."

Social media also shared a video clip from the event and shared a post on X that read, "Udit Narayan has a history of such predatory behaviour and yet he remains scot-free which is shocking. In an exclusive interview with HT, the singer responded to the internet backlash saying, “Fans itne deewane hote hain na. Hum log aise nahi hain, hum decent log hain. Some people encourage this and show their love through this. Udaake kya karna hai ab iss cheez ko? There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards present too. But fans think they are getting a chance to meet, so someone extends their hands for a handshake, and some kiss the hands. Yeh sab deewangi hoti hai. Uspe itna dhyaan nahi dena chahiye.”
