The pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant were a lavish spectacle graced by international celebrities such as pop sensation Rihanna, prominent business magnates, and world leaders. The gathering also included iconic figures from the film industry, such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, to name a few.
During the three-day pre-wedding extravaganza, which took place four months ahead of the main event, attendees witnessed captivating moments that surpassed even cinematic expectations. Among the highlights was a rare dance performance featuring the triumvirate of Bollywood, Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir Khan, uniting on stage. However, just two days after the conclusion of the event, Shah Rukh Khan found himself embroiled in a controversy.
Shah Rukh Khan Allegedly Made Racist Remark Against Ram Charan
On the second day of the event, the audience witnessed a rare moment as the three iconic Khans – Salman, Shah Rukh, and Aamir – took the stage together after a considerable period. They began their performance by attempting the hook step of the RRR song "Naatu Naatu" by Ram Charan and Jr NTR. During the performance, Shah Rukh Khan actively sought out Ram Charan, repeatedly asking, "Where are you, Ram Charan?" in anticipation of the RRR star joining them.

Eventually, Ram Charan himself joined the trio on stage, and together, they all executed the song's hook step.
According to Hindustan Times, playfully, SRK began speaking gibberish in Telugu, including the word "idli." However, not everyone appreciated this moment, with some accusing Shah Rukh Khan of making inappropriate comments, leading to accusations of racism.
This incident has stirred anger, particularly from Upasana Konidela's makeup artist, who took to Instagram to vent her displeasure. In her post, she specifically highlighted the use of the term "Bhend idly vada" and expressed her strong objection. She went on to disclose that she decided to leave the party following this incident, deeming it highly disrespectful towards a star of Ram Charan's stature.
Twitter Reactions To Shah Rukh Khan’s Racist Comment
Twitterati also expressed discontent with Shah Rukh Khan's use of the term "idli" about Ram Charan. Many netizens found the remark inappropriate and raised objections to what they perceived as cultural insensitivity.
