Actor Rashmika Mandanna, who was recently seen in the Hindi film Goodbye, has responded after being trolled for not watching the hit Kannada film Kantara. A few weeks after Mandanna said that she had not watched the film yet and hoped to watch it soon, she said that she had finally watched the film and also congratulated the team at an event in Hyderabad on December 8.

Mandanna further added that she only has love for the people who mercilessly trolled her for her statement.

Earlier Mandanna was asked at an event whether she had watched the popular Kannada film Kantara to which she said she hadn’t, and it somehow became a big deal. This stirred a conversation on social media and the actor had to face a wave of trolls and backlashes. There were also rumours that Kannada production and distribution committees have decided to ban Mandanna and her films in Karnataka.

Responding to all the trolls and hate the actor has been receiving for the last couple of months, she said, “I just have love for them. I don’t know what else I’m supposed to say about it. It’s left to them,(sic)” while attending an event in Hyderabad.

During the event, the media again asked Mandanna whether she had watched Kantara, to which she answered, “I was asked if I watched the film two-three days after its release. I couldn’t back then. I’ve now watched it and also messaged the team. They also thanked me for the message. The world doesn’t know what’s happening on the inside. We can’t put a camera on our personal lives and show it.”

Further, she said that what people say about her professional life matters more to her than what people say about her personal life.

“What happens inside remains inside only. I really can’t go around and tell people what is happening in my inbox. I don’t think (I) have been banned. People started overreacting. When they asked me about Kantara, it was just two days since release. It is up to people on how they understand my words. I can’t keep explaining it to everyone. And I am ready to work in Kannada cinema if I get offers. Till now, I have been busy with other languages,” she said.
