Bollywood actor and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta has slammed a troll for making a sexist comment on social media regarding Glenn Maxwell’s lacklustre performance in the 2025 IPL season. Preity Zinta Lashes Out At X User For Distasteful Glenn Maxwell Joke

Preity Zinta, known for her outspoken nature, has once again taken a strong stand, this time against gender bias in sports management. The Bollywood star and co-owner of Punjab Kings called out an X user who made an inappropriate comment connecting Glenn Maxwell’s performance in IPL 2025 to her personal life.

During an 'Ask Me Anything' (AMA) session on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, a user asked if Maxwell’s poor form was due to her not marrying the Australian cricketer. Zinta swiftly responded with a sharp and assertive reply, calling the question as sexist and unacceptable. She demanded the respect she deserves and urged social media users to move past such gendered narratives.

The troll wrote, "Ma'am, did Maxwell not perform better for your team because he didn't marry you?", a post that was later deleted. However, Preity Zinta hit back with a powerful response:

She wrote, "Would you ask this question to the male team owners of other teams, or is this kind of discrimination reserved only for women? I never realised how difficult it is for women to survive in corporate setups until I entered the world of cricket. I'm sure you asked this out of humour, but I hope you take a moment to actually read your question and reflect on what you're implying, because if you truly understand it, it's not pretty."
