Met Gala 2025: Theme And Dress Code

Since its inception, the Met Gala has always been held on the first Monday of May. This year, in 2025, the Met Gala will take place on 5 May 2025. The theme for the 2025 Met Gala is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style".

The exhibition explores the evolution of tailoring and its deep connection to Black identity and cultural expression, with a particular focus on the figure of the Black dandy. It delves into how clothing and style have been used to shape and represent Black identities across the Atlantic diaspora.

The dress code, "Tailored for You," invites guests to embrace their personal style while interpreting the theme of menswear.

For the first time since the 2003 theme, ‘Men In Skirts’, fashion lovers around the world will get to see more innovation and personality in menswear—as well as in gender-neutral, androgynous looks—beyond the traditional black tie.
