International Emmy Awards 2023: Shefali Shah And 2 Other Indian Actors Make Country Proud With Their Nominations

India is crossing all its boundaries no matter we talk about aeronautical science or culture and art. India is proud yet again as Shefali Shah gets nominated for her powerful role in ‘Delhi Crime 2’. The first season of the same series won the award in the Best Drama Series category in 2020.

This year, Shefali Shah has been nominated for the category of Best Performance by an Actress for the Netflix show. Other actors who have been nominated for the same title alongside her are Connie Nielsen, Billie Piper and Karla Souza.

"OMGGGGG I still can't believe it. Feel so so honoured to be nominated at the International Emmys alongside such esteemed artists. This one is really special and more so because it is for a character I am very very close to, Vartika Chaturvedi and for my favourite show Delhi Crime 2. This is for all of us in Delhi Crime," Shah’s Instagram caption read.

While Shefali Shah carries on her legacy of her name and fame at an international award show, there are other Indian actors who are set to create their own. The dashing and extremely talented Jim Sarbh has been nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor category for his role in ‘Rocket Boys’, a SonyLIV web series. Actors who will be competing for the title are Gustavo Bassani, Martin Freeman and Jonas Karlsson.

Further in line, another actor who has added to his legacy is Vir Das as he gets nominated for the second time. This year, his nomination is for his Netflix special ‘Vir Das: Landing’. Other shows that are competing alongside him are Le Flambeau, El Encargado and Derry Girls Season 3.
