International Day of the Girl Child is observed every year on the 11th of October. This day is marked to cater to the issues that girls go through daily. From their basic needs like education, nutrition and freedom to employment, rights and the freedom of choice, this day draws our attention to all the places we are lacking as a society.
Due to constant efforts towards improving the quality of life of a girl child, the world has moved to a better position. Where there was frequent female foeticide occurring, now these girls grow up to become entrepreneurs, engineers, artists and what not.
