Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor has faced a heavy backlash for his comment on people wearing fake sneakers. He posted on his Instagram story suggesting men/boys to refrain from wearing dupes of original sneakers instead of choosing to purchase from inexpensive brands if they are low on budget. He further added how one should be dressed up appropriately, as it says a lot about a person’s taste and choices and ‘adds value to what they represent’.
The Instagram story took social media by storm as netizens were disappointed to hear such a statement from someone belonging to the upper class. His comment was stated as ‘elitist’ for its inclination towards the high class and not a very considerate one for someone who doesn't.
