One of the wealthiest families in Asia, the Ambanis had organised two extravagant pre-weddings for the engaged couple in Jamnagar, Gujarat and a cruise ship from Italy to France. Many Indian and International celebrities and business tycoons were invited to the lavish affair.

The wealthy couple Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani are known for their countless business ventures. However, their charitable activities and donations have always won our hearts. Ahead of their youngest son Anant Ambani and his fiance Radhika Merchant’s wedding, they organised a mass wedding in Thane, Mumbai for the underprivileged.
ANI reported, “As part of the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, a mass wedding of the underprivileged has been organised at 4:30 pm on 2nd July, at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar.” The news agency also revealed that the Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani sought Lord Shiva’s blessing by offering the first wedding card at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi.

Mass weddings are an age-old concept in India; they support the ideologies of daan (donation and charity). Charity is considered one of the most pious acts in the Sanatan Dharma. The Rig Veda states, “Satha hatha samahara sahasra hastha samkira (earn with hundreds of hands and donate with thousands of hands).” It also adds, “He who gives to others will be blessed by the Gods.”

Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani entered the venue with folded hands. While Nita Ambani looked gorgeous in a red silk saree with golden embellishments, Mukesh Ambani opted for a white shirt and black pants.

On the other hand, Isha Ambani picked a mustard georgette sharara set featuring golden lace work at the borders. Her husband, Anand Piramal, complemented Isha in an ivory-white kurta and matching trousers.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are all set to tie the knot on July 12, 2024, in Mumbai’s Jio World Centre during their ‘Shubh Vivaah’. On July 13, 2024, the couple will celebrate their ‘Shubh Aashirdwad’ ceremony and July 14, 2024, will welcome guests to a grand 'Mangal Utsav’ (wedding reception).
