Is there something like too many lipsticks? Well, at least not for me. I am a lipstick lover and not guilty! I enjoy experimenting with new lipstick shades, formulas. The scale of options with lipsticks is way too high and often it gets tricky to pick one. This time, I got my hands on a new beauty brand and tried a few of their lipstick shades. If you are a lipstick fanatic like me and hunting for a new brand to try, Type Beauty's lipstick might just be what you are looking for.

My Experience
As someone who invests in lipstick every month, I have my own checklist. Some factors are quite dear to me like the pigmentation, texture and lasting power among others. Unfortunately, Type Beauty's texture failed to work for me. It has a glossy, oil-like consistency, a bit heavy for my lips. Also, I think I didn’t like the formula much because usually, I am one to go for lipsticks either with a creamy or water base which feels much lighter. However, for those who like lipsticks with a glossy feel, this one might work for them.
Time for the positives, I liked the pigmentation and lasting power these lipsticks have to offer. Even after a few hours, your lips have a beautiful stain, quite unusual for a liquid lipstick. The trick here is the application. This isn’t your regular liquid lipstick. So, the brand suggests using two layers of the lipstick and then waiting for five minutes to let it set in. This promises a hydrating, long-lasting lip colour. I followed the instructions and though it did feel heavy on my lips, I got a beautiful colour after letting the lipstick set in. Also, a single swipe is just enough for me. Since the consistency is heavier, I didn’t want to do a double coat. I would suggest going for a single coat since it gives just the perfect colour. However, if needed, go for another coat. Type Beauty also offers the range in multiple lipstick shades which is another plus.

Lastly, I feel the product is fairly priced too for what it has to offer. Most liquid lipsticks have a similar range. Overall, it wasn't a 10/10 experience for me but it wasn’t that bad either.

- Lips feel hydrated
- Makes your lips look plump
- Affordable

Cons

Verdict
Overall, if you are hunting for new lipsticks for your beauty closet then you can give Type Beauty’s Lip Lustre range a try. The consistency is unlike any other liquid lipstick, it is more like a lip gloss with a heavier feel, perfect for those who like to take the glossy route but often fail to find the pigmentation.
