The harsh rays of the sun not just burn your skin but take away its natural shine and reduce skin elasticity too. If you have been soaking in some sun all this while, thinking you aren't really stepping out of the house and it all won't damage your skin at all then you are wrong! Sun tanning happens when you spend hours in the sun.
You don't really need a special session at the salon to get rid of this skin tanning post this lockdown. Now that you are stuck in your homes, you have all the time to treat your common skin issues. Beauty Expert Shahnaz Husain shared some easy, natural ways to remove skin tanning during this lockdown period.
There are a lot of natural ingredients that can help you get rid of the tan at home like turmeric, yogurt, saffron, ripe papaya, lemon, oranges, tomato, buttermilk among others.
A good scrub can help in removing all the tan. To prepare almond scrub you need a handful of almonds. Soak them in hot water till the skin comes out. Next, spread them on a plate and let them dry. In a grinder, add these almonds and make a fine powder. Store this powder in an airtight container.
Take a bowl, add 2 tsp of almond powder, curd or cold milk and mix well. Apply on the affected areas and rub gently. Wash with water.
If you have oily skin, you can prepare this easy scrub using some rice powder and curd.

In a bowl, add cucumber juice or pulp, egg white, 2 tsp powdered milk. Mix well to make a paste. Apply all over your face and neck and wash after 30 minutes. You can also add multani mitti to your pack instead of powdered milk if you have oily skin.

Prepare this pack by adding some turmeric to gram flour or besan. Mix the two ingredients with some curd to make a paste and apply it on your skin. Wash after 20-30 minutes.
For this you need, 1 tsp of orange juice, honey, and egg white. Mix all the three ingredients well and apply on your face and neck and wash after 20 minutes. This pack will help you remove skin tan and also make your skin soft and smooth.
For this pack, you need ground almonds, a pinch of turmeric, and curd. Mix all the ingredients well and apply on the affected area. Rub in a circular motion and wash with water after a few minutes.
If you have oily skin then you should use multani mitti to remove skin tan. Add some rose water and lemon juice to multani mitti to make a paste. Apply on face and neck and wash after the pack dries.

To make this paste you need 1 tbsp of moong dal, 1 tbsp of tomato pulp, and mix well. Apply on affected area and massage. Wash after 20 minutes.
Choker or wheat bran is another great ingredient to remove skin tan. You need 1 tbsp choker, 1 tsp orange peel powder, curd, and aloe vera gel. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients well and apply on your skin. Wash after 30 minutes.
To get rid of skin tan from your body, massage sesame seed oil everyday.
Mix besan, curd, turmeric, and lemon juice in a bowl and apply all over your body. Keep for 30 minutes and then wash.

Mix the two ingredients to make a scrub. All over your hands and rub gently. Wash after 15 minutes.
To remove tan from your feet, prepare a foot soak by adding lemon juice to water. Soak your feet into it. This will not only cleanse your feet but also removes bad odour. You can also rub lemon on your feet.
