You can keep your tresses in shape with minimum effort, all while catching up on some beauty sleep!
Mr Sameer Hamdare, hair expert, Zonal Technical Manager at Streax Professional has listed down morning and night hair care tips that you can make you look beautiful all and help you wake up looking your best too.
Start your day with a hair wash. Without a good wash, sebum will build up, leaving unwanted oil on the scalp. Cleansing is a balance between removing things like sebum, dead skin and products residue.
Condition your hair after every shampoo. Conditioners moisturizes the hair and helps in detangling hair, giving them shine and frizz reduction.
Detangling is essential for stopping breakage. Start detangling with the ends, gently working your way up towards the roots, but you need to use the right tool, such as a wide-tooth comb, to avoid pulling hair out. Depending on your hair type, you may need to detangle every day or much less often.
If you want to blow dry, iron or tong your hair to style, be sure to use a heat protector.
If your hair is dirty or there is a product build-up, then make sure to wash your hair at night before sleeping. If you don't wash your hair, you are probably blocking the pores on your scalp, which can lead to serious scalp and hair related problems such as dandruff, hair fall, etc.
Wet hair is more prone to damage. When you sleep on damp hair, it will lead to breakage and split ends.
It is always good to brush your hair before going to bed, as this will ensure that your hair is free of any knots and tangles. The brushing will also improve the blood circulation on the scalp, encouraging healthy hair growth.
