According to the nutritionist, walking after meals can help to control blood sugar levels, and thus, help a patient manage type 1 and 2 diabetes. She suggested walking for at least 30-40 minutes after meals if you are trying to manage the disease.

The nutritionist advised against walking briskly or too fast immediately after dinner because it can lead to cramps and discomfort. You can take a break of 30-60 minutes after meals before going for a walk.

The nutritionist said thatpregnant womenmust include walking after meals in their routine. However, they must maintain a little gap between eating and walking in case they feel tired or exhausted.
Expecting women with gestational diabetes must go for a walk post meals to regulate blood sugar levels in their bodies. It can help them manage the situation and prevent it from developing further and affecting them and their unborn’s health.
