It gets frustrating when your periods get delayed. If you are someone who likes to plan things, irregular menstrual cycles can throw you off your game. The waiting period can even add to the stress.
There can be multiple reasons behind delayed periods. One of the most common factors is hormonal imbalance which can be caused due to stress, unhealthy lifestyle, frequent consumption of junk food, etc.
In most cases, doctors prescribe hormonal pills that often have a few mild side effects. The list includes breast pain, nausea, reduced libido, breakthrough bleeding, mood swings, and increased vaginal discharge.
Dr Dixa Bhavsar Savaliya, Ayurvedic Expert and Founder of The Kadamba Tree, shared a reel on Instagram and said that home remedies can help to correct hormonal imbalance, and they are free from the side effects of hormonal pills. She added, “They don’t cause mood swings, weight gain, insomnia, and other symptoms.”
She shared a recipe for an ayurvedic tea that can help people struggling with delayed periods and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Check out the recipe and try it at home.
Dr Savaliya added a tip for people trying to lose weight. You can soak all these ingredients overnight with half a teaspoon of lemon juice.
However, you must know that simply a tea recipe cannot help you get rid of health issues. Whether you are trying to lose weight or trying to correct hormonal balance, you must also indulge in exercise and eat healthy food.
Fenugreek seeds are rich in vitamins B, A, and D. They have iron with soluble and insoluble fibre. Hence, you will find them as a key ingredient in home remedies for diabetes, painful menstruation, ulcers, muscle pain, arthritis, digestive issues, etc.
Black sesame seeds are loaded with antioxidants and offer protection from oxidative stress. They are a good source of fatty acids, zinc, and iron, which are considered good for skin and hair.
