Alia Bhatt is one of the biggest stars of Bollywood. She has been acting in the industry for over a decade and has delivered many impactful roles in movies such as ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘Raazi’, and ‘Darlings’. However, this time she is coming forward as the executive producer of an upcoming web series called ‘Poacher’.

Alia Bhatt shared an impactful awareness video on her Instagram handle educating the masses about the mindless killing of animals just because they are not a part of the human race. The video with the caption “Murder is murder,” will run shivers down your spine.

Poacher Release Date And OTT Platform

The Alia Bhatt production ‘Poacher’ is all set to be released on 23 February 2024. The web series will be an Amazon Prime Video original and will discuss the important issue of poaching and the illegal killing of animals.

Poacher Cast

‘Poacher’ is a crime drama web series that has been directed by the Emmy Award winner for ‘Delhi Crime’, Richie Mehta. The upcoming web series stars Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Ankith Madhav, Kani Kusruti, and Sooraj Pops. While Roshan Mathew and Nimisha Sajayan will be leading the series, others will be the supporting characters.

Poacher Plot

Poaching or the illegal killing of animals is a heinous crime. The web series ‘Poacher’ promises us a journey through this concept and aims to spread awareness about the mindless murder of animals. Additionally, it will also explore the concepts of animal trafficking for profits.

This web series will be journeying us through the dense forests of Kerala and the remaining forests of Delhi. A group of forest officers, and NGO workers go on an adventure to bust an ivory poaching ring. This means that elephants have been attacked for years to obtain the ivory on their tusks. The tusks are chopped off by poacher which cannot be regrown. This ivory is further used for making jewellery, chess sets, figurines, etc.

This illegal killing of elephants and other animals for profit has led to many animals becoming endangered. The web series ‘Poacher’ promises to delve into this issue and educate the masses.
