Adam Sandler is set to return in Happy Gilmore 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic 1996 sports comedy. Reprising his role as the fiery hockey player-turned-golfer, Sandler will once again bring Happy Gilmore to life. According to PEOPLE, the sequel will also feature exciting cameos from Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, rap legend Eminem, and top pro golfers, including Rory McIlroy.
Directed by Kyle Newacheck, the long-awaited Netflix movie will start streaming from July 25, as revealed during the Tudum event held on May 31 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
According to IMDb, the iconic film stars Adam Sandler and Christopher McDonald in lead roles and Julie Bowen, Margaret Qualley, Ben Stiller, Sunny Sandler, Ethan Cutkosky, Dennis Dugan, Paige Spiranac, Benny Safdie, Eric André, Eminem, Jena Sims, Bad Bunny, Nick Swardson, Lee Trevino, Michael Lowery and Kym Whitley in supporting roles.

During a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, Adam Sandler offered fans a teaser about the long-awaited Happy Gilmore 2, revealing the film’s arc for the beloved character nearly three decades later. “The story starts with a guy who swung clubs a long time back. Life threw a few curveballs, and now he’s in a rough patch, older, but still a little wild around the edges,” Sandler explained. “We spend the movie cheering him on as he tries to straighten his game and, more importantly, his life.”
