A Knight Of Seven Kingdoms Ending Explained: After watching new episodes every week, we got to see the season finale for ‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms’ today. Fans have been waiting all week to see what happens next after the brutal ‘Trial of Seven’. In the previous episode, we saw Prince Baelor Breakspear die during the fight, and Dunk winning the ‘Trial of Seven’, escaping the punishment. Let’s dive in to see ‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms’ episode six ending explained here to know what happened to Dunk and Egg in the series finale here!
Continuing from the brutal fifth episode, we saw Dunk being badly injured after the ‘Trial of Seven’. In the finale episode, ‘The Morrow’, we see Dunk recovering with the help of Lyonel Baratheon and his so-called useless Maester. With guilt over Baelor Targaryen's death, Dunk declines Lyonel's offer to join him at Storm's End. Dunk makes a late entry to the late Iron Throne heir's funeral and talks to Baelor's firstborn son, Valarr, who asks why the Gods let Dunk live instead of Baelor. Still swimming in guilt, Dunk agrees with Valarr.

The story ends on a hopeful yet grounded note when Prince Maekar entrusts his son, Egg, to Dunk’s care. By allowing Egg to continue squiring for a humble hedge knight rather than returning to the Red Keep, Maekar ensures the future king learns how the ‘smallfolk’, non-royals, actually live.
